Käo Põhikool (Käo Basic School) is a private school that is created by non-profit organisation MTÜ
Inimeselt Inimesele for students of compulsory education age (year 2011). School is free of
charge.
School provides special needs children with an opportunity to study while receiving rehabilitation during the school day. School uses holistic approach that considers physical, emotional, social, medical and sensory needs within an educational context across the day.
Lessons at Käo Põhikool (based on the principles of holistic approach):
- circle time;
- language and communication;
- cognition and perception;
- social skills and group work;
- art and fine motor skills;
- music and movement;
- gross motor skills;
- life skills.
Käo Põhikool and Tallinn Special Care and Rehabilitation Centre (TERK) follow common values and principles. All employees care for and respect the students.
